Sorry to jump in on your conversation, but I think maybe Never is trying to say that just because you have an R next to your name you don't do anything wrong. And because someone else did something worse it's not justified, and we need to not excuse them.
He lied, but not on purpose?..i agree with your argument about it should never have gone to trial---but we should argue that and not "What Sandy did is worse"
