The local precinct needs to count their own votes and put their official results on the door. Only then should they send them to county and state and national tabulators.

Why do we need to know who is president two seconds after the polls close?

Thank you so much for writing that. You are absolutely right! Transparency, security, and accuracy in audited elections are goals Americans can and should attain.
