Should be interesting today.
Recall please that Rush is challenged to see what else he can do about the, hmmmmm, "general malaise" of the conservative idealology.
This is based on, specifically and I hope you all can follow me here, the Scooter Libby trial. Because I've been reading Ann Coulter, my heroine...listening to Laura, studying Clarice Feldman's take...all about this ridiculous Libby thing and I agree with them all. It's outrageous.
Yet, in front of my amazing eyes, neither the President, VP or Republican congress critters, do a thing to either lay it down firmly and truthfully to the American people. It's like they are in the audience at the Colliseum watching the lions eat the Christians.
I hope I'm making sense here.
Anyway, yesterday Rush got a few callers who seemed to understand the frustration and, yeah, a bit of a depression, that I have been feeling. One lady asked Rush to do something. Rush said he'd think about it all night and would talk about it today.
I mean...is it just me or is this unbelievable disparity of justice driving you nuts? I mean...WHERE ARE THE REPUBLICANS!! I've seen none of them out there defending Libby....exposing Joe Wilson. Hey Rudy...Hey Mitt...Hey John.
Anyway....waiting to hear what Rush is going to do...
Does anybody here know what I'm talking about?
Morning.
I do...I understand. But think about a few things.
The Libby situation is inextricably linked to the Bush administration.
For better or worse, an appeal will take at least two years. Bush will pardon him on the way out.
If you were a Presidential candidate, you would not want to get yourself involved in this mess. It will be over in two years, anyway.
This does not negate the fact that it was a travesty of justice.
I am just looking at this in a practical way.
Thanks for the ping
Welcome.
Yah I get it.
After 6 years of doing nothing, I wouldn't look for things to change.
Good morning Chicago! As always, thanks for the ping! I hope Rush rips Murtha to shreds.
