I look at these young men and women that have signed up in this volunteer military as our finest. So many we can be truely proud of. So many that have really good heads on their shoulders, yet they signed up to serve. Many signed up after we invaded Afghanistan through the Iraqi conflict.
I for one stand at attention and salute each one of them. May HE who can preserve live regardless of how hard the rock becomes, keep HIS almighty HAND over each one of them, and allow them to return to civilian life or future military careers in peacetime whole in body and in spirit. And for those that are not spared in body and or soul the terrible things that we witness, may HE find ways in HIS infinite wisdom to provide a way for them in the future, knowing they served their country with honor.
