In addition, Rove too often recruited "electable" RINOs to build his majority. I publicly bemoaned the loss of solid conservatives like Phil Gramm and Jesse Helms, men despised by the media for being what they were - conservatives.
When was the last time you heard the media pissed off over anything Elizabeth Dole or Lindsey Graham have said?
