I try to keep a little reality going when I go to work, most of the Gen X'ers, and to a much greater extent Gen Y's really forget that. Work is only supposed to last 40 hours a week, and 8-hours a day. If you don't enjoy the office environment it doesn't matter what you do, you won't like your job. Most of the younger office workers (twenty somethings) I've worked with either love the job, so much so that they become robots (or slaves) to the company and "the rules" or loathe the job so much that the only way they enjoy their work is by making others miserable. I'd imagine the 20 year old management lady was part of the latter. If you don't love the job, at least be nice to the people you work with, it is not their fault that you are stuck where you may be (this rule excludes pointy haired management types).
