I remember it all, Miss Didi: a total nightmare.
Do you still live in NYC? Because under Bloomberg I am again seeing really filthy homeless people clearing subway cars. I'm talking about the 1,2,3 trains...depressing.

Yes, I do. I'm usually on the 6 most days which is jam packed with UESiders. There's still a strong police presence on the platforms; I'm surprised they aren't throwing the homeless off the trains.
I remember in the 80's taking the 1,2,3 line with a friend at Macys and getting on an express by accident. We were chatting away and the next thing we knew we were the only white people on board; next stop was 125th St. The conductor came out of his booth, screamed at us for being there, told us to get off and run like hell to the other platform and jump on the first southbound train. Those were nightmare days indeed.
