I think he should have. If an illegal comes to her with an accusation of child abuse, you call the police. While go back to Mexico is a fun throwout phrase, it either leave a child abuser in the US unpunished till the next time, of if a family member to be deported, gives every illegal here the knowledge that every crime up to and including child abuse is punished by nothing worse than deportation. Lois Eargle should have had the common sense to know the abuser was the priority.
