I can't imagine why nobody wants the new and futuristic wingless Airbus?

Government backing may be beneficial in the short term, but NEVER bet against the free market in the long term.....

I guess the only answer for the French now will be to cut the 35 hour week to 30 hours.
That way they can 'stay competitive' on the world market and still keep all their workers employed!

Toilet paper gettin' too expensive?

Doesn't the airplane industry have the same market slump in the first quarter that most industries have?
In other words, wouldn't sales being at a 6 month low in February be exactly what you would normally expect?
I thought they did their best to squeeze as many sales into a calendar year as possible, which also tends to make the beginning of the next year look weak. Being only at a 6 month low at the beginning of the year doesn't sound like much of a slump to me.
Am I missing something here?
With as far behind as Airbus is and as much trouble they are having implementing a restructuring plan, I wouldn't be surprised to hear them hitting 18 month lows or worse.

A much as I love Boeing, and as much as I hate anything related to the French, I wish Airbus would get their act together. Competition is why Boeing is so much better than anything else.

Ooop's my mistake. You said Boeing, not EADS.

And guess who will be paying for all of those $100s of million dollars of gate upgrades going on around the country to accommodate that plane.

When Boeing comes out with the Plastic 737, the last leg will have been kicked out from under Airbus' three-legged stool.

Yes, And most enjoyable.maybe they should have had to compete by way of the free market business model.

The good new for Airbus is that they don't actually have to sell airplanes to stay in business. Perhaps they can use them as public housing projects.
