Pincus is a friend to Wilson, he was just one of Wilson's vessels to help promote the myth that the VP was lying and ignoring CIA findings.

The WP is a web of deceit, and have the blood of good soldiers on their hands for trying to discredit the Iraq mission.

AND in DEFENDING Saddam and Sons as innocent possessing and pursuing of WMD.

They actually couldn't care less for anyone with an R after their name, they are worried that reporters will be subject to a more aggressive standard of investigatory action and subject to jail time just like the rest of us would be in failing to protect national secrets.
