"Ibn Warraq has written a devastating work that will be out by the summer. It is entitled Defending the West: A Critique of Edward Saids Orientalism. Will Western intellectuals also dare to defend the West?"
Short answer: NO. Not many of them, anyway. The poisons of insipid "multi-culturalism" and deranged pseudo-Marxism are widespread, and few "intellectuals" can stand up for intelligent, humane values agains the onslaught of Islamo-fascist depravity.

A regressive religion produces a regressive society.
I bet this lady thought she was being 'oh so liberal and progressive' when she began her relationship with her future husband and tyrant.
She's lucky to have escaped from purdah.

I cannot understand how liberals fail to see that Islam is the mortal enemy of feminism...do they think they're exempt?

Plus, so-called "intellectuals" think that gun ownership is barbaric, and hence, beneath them. Therefore they are unwilling AND unable to defend anything, except for their worldview (and that only with words).

I was the bride of a charming, seductive and Westernised Afghan Muslim whom I met at an American college. That's what he wanted you to think, but it was a lie. Many women fall for the "charming" Arab men, only to find later that they are wolves in sheep's clothing.

Yes, isn't it amazing that we have this barbaric, bestial treatment of hundreds of millions of horribly oppressed women all over Islam, and yet western "feminists" and intellectuals almost never take notice except to blame everything wrong in the world on "western imperialism" and George W. Bush?

Is it racist to condemn fanaticism?
In The West, yes.
Especially if there are lots of ACLU members and/or Islamics in
the area.

In the 1980s, one of my lady co-workers was married to a "Persian"
whose family had been in the Shah's inner-circle, but managed to
escape to America.
In some moments, she would admit to concerns over whether her
husband (and father to her two children) would be true to his
avowed Western views on marriage and parenthood.
And her fears he might turn out to be "a real Muslim".
You could almost hear the fear in her self-questioning.
In a sane world, every female in the USA should watch
Not Without My Daughter
and be told "that's not really fiction, it happens more often than
you might think. And if your expat spouse hijacks your kids...
don't expect the US State Department to lift a finger to help you."

It really took all of that?
My eyes were opened to it after they blew up their first plane.
Seems simple to me.

And oh yeah...I got zero remorse for stupid chics who marry Muslims and then act shocked when they treat them wrong.
Dummy. Serves you right.

My eyes were opened to it after they blew up their first plane. I got the impression this happened to her before 9/11. If so, it's much more understandable, given the average Westerner's general ignorance of the true nature of Islam at that time.

Forgive me but I think they blew up their first plane in like the 60s or 70s. I have zero grace for this twits willfull ignorance.
