Gen Azkari flew to Istanbul from Damascus, the Syrian capital, and checked into a hotel. But after leaving his possessions in the room he never returned.

Is the CIA on our side now? That probably depends on which CIA you are referring to.

I'll bet the debriefing sessions with the CIA were very interestingit would be better if a real Intelligence organization got him first.

Kidnapped or defected -- makes no difference as long as we got him.
Now let's hope he's not a plant.

Say what you will about the French government but I'm sure La Direction Générale de la Sécurité Extérieure (DGSE) has some very good HUMINT sources in Iran.

The Culinary Institute of America would do a better job of getting data versus the CIA the past 20-30 years.

Sounds like a defection to me. If Meade has him then he has value.....but we'll never know. If the CIA and the DNC has him, we'll read about it in the NY Times.

I'd say two, a good CIA and a bad CIA. I saw a funeral for a good CIA man who was killed in Afghanistan and it was about the most impressive thing I've ever seen in my life.
