"This is good, if you trust the US Constitution as written by the framers.
JP Stephens and Ruth Bader (at a minimum) will be goners during the next few years. Pick the candidate you trust to replace them."
I intend to do just that. I will not pick Rudy, because I trust the "Constitution as written" but I do not trust Rudy's promises, whether written, spoken, or in sign language. The man has proven many times that he will say whatever he has to to get elected.

It isn't Rudy's multiple divorces that worry me as much as his stance on social issues such as abortion and homosexual marriage.

Aren't these the same kind of wonderfully forgiving evangelicals who have fully embraced the pastors wife who was hooked on Nigerian internet debt scams, shot her minister husband in the back as he lay in their bed, and walked out of the house with the kids as her paralyzed husband lay dying? One can forgive and still know that the characteristics displayed by a person disqualify him/her for a position of power.

Giuliani has already spoken up for appointing strictly constructionist judges. Ah, he *said* he's going to. How many times did he say "til death do us part"?

Maybe YOU should get your facts straight before slandering a wonderful man. That is just DISGUSTING.
Wyman was having an affair. Reagan didn't want the divorce.

I thought he was still married to Wyman when he met a minor starlet named Nancy and started an affair- and that she became pregnant He divorced Jane Wyman in 1948 and married Nancy in 1952.

I don't care about THE NUMBER of his divorces, either. It's that he obviously didn't care enough about his kid to divorce quietly, publicly floozying around while both he and his wife were Gracie residents. I don't like his stances on a lot of the issues, but what first and fundamentally bothers me about him is his untrustworthiness as exhibited by that whole situation. When he runs, he's making a commitment to his party's constituents, and at least nominally, conservatives are part of the GOP's base. If Rudy, knowing the hurt it will cause his children, could treat their mother so poorly, it doesn't seem to me he's committed to much, and as a result, not much is stopping him from any random act he cares to take. He and the rest of the Rudy McRomney squad, well, who knows what they'll 'believe' now out of expediency, and reverse entirely when elected?

I was going to make a few comments about Rudy Giuliani but you have to ride the boxcar to Indoctrination Camp if you use the words "lisping liberal twit."

Take me off your damned ping list. Unless you don't mind getting pinged by me to the good news about Rudy. You know, the numerous articles that show he's the frontrunner and that Republicans typically stick with their frontrunner.
