Actually, I think the 'revolt that occurred was because the Repubs in congress forgot the Fiswcal responsibilities that rode them into power in 94. It was not the war that was the reason.
Be that as it may, the Dumocraps are now reminding the Repubs what kind of 'power' they can wield against the administration. Has there been ANY real progress on the ills of the nation that the Dumocraps said they would fix? No. They continue to look for skeletons and scandal so they can punish the administration and prop themselves up for 08.

My concern is that the "true conservative" voters have done what normal conservatives do---work, raise families...etc...

Not involve themselves in day-to-day political acitivism....which might be as simple as arguing with coworkers for conservative principles. (Like fiscal responsibility.)

So over time (since 1994, THIRTEEN years ago) the left's message has swayed many traditionally Reagan democrats and independents...or worse...new voters.

I'm afraid the Santorum etc losses are proving that there's not latent conservative stripe in America waiting to be reborn. It's not 1980.

When SOCIAL SECURITY became a third-rail, we were already a SOCIALIST country. The left knows that and is dividing and conquering us.

I wish the right would at least bind together and stop the bleeding....but it seems half of the right is happy to let the country bleed to death in the field for want of a pristine, sterile bandage and clean operating room.

Now, I'm concerned that the apathetic conservatives are gathering to revolt, with the subsequent result that we are moving ever faster to the left because of their inaction.

And I think that most of those that disagree with me that "Less fast" is better than "more fast" with Hillary, -do- agree with me that if they stay at home, that hillary or obama can win.

And they don't seem to care.
