I think it's more commonly the case that women find such things necessary after giving birth, particularly if they have a 3rd or 4th degre episiotomy.
here's why I ask - the latest article I've read is at the link below (with snip from article), and it doesn't sound like a he had a magnet up his butt to close his sphincter to me:
