Its a mockery of justice.
To: LM_Guy
crap, crap and more crap.
The questions from the jurors to the judge seem to create an excellent opprotunity for appeal.

Makes you wonder if he'd have gotten off better by refusing to say anything to anyone about the matter, no matter what.

The bottom line, when questioned, ALWAYS say I don't remember.

Time for a pardon.
Get to it, W.

He should have referred to his notes. The Feds did. He should have returned to the grand jury and corrected his testimony. Rove did. He shouldnt have lied. Libby did.

He should have stuck with 'I don't know' and 'I don't remember' when answering questions.

Bush should pardon him and give the Left the finger.

There is a precedence set for sentencing for perjury...Clinton had his license to practice law suspended for 5 years...that was it.

Bill Clinton lies day and night, night and day, about the threat of Islamic extremism. Death reigns over New York City as a result, and pulls are country into a major war, and his reward is he gets 40 million a year in speaking fees. This guy forgets what he said to a reporter about something that had zero impact on anything, and he goes to jail for twenty five years. Wow!

Libby is prosecuted for a poor memory, but Sandy Berger is walking free after theft of national security documents. Two Border Patrol Agents are in prison for protecting the borders against criminals. Another is to stand trial for defending himself. The Clinton Administration shared military secrets with China, and now China has satellite warfare technology. They all walk free. Where is the justice?

I am not a fan of Libby or Cheney, but this case is yet more proof that federal prosecutors are out of control. There was no crime here, just as there was no crime with Martha Stewart and many high profile defendants targeted by the feds.

An appeal would seem the next logical step. That drags it out another 18 months or so, then W issues a pardon right after the 2008 elections.
