I hope you aright, but I just had that sinking feeling after I learned the verdict and I haven't felt that pessimistic before. Also, the fact that the republican party has no real true candidate. Don't get me wrong, I think Rudy is a wonderful leader, crime fighter etc... but not a true conservative candidate and i am worried that will hurt the 2008 election by people staying home out of their frustration.
Remember those that threaten to "stay home" or vote "third party" in order " to teach the GOP a lesson, are just as irresponsible as the far-left-wingers, just irresponsible in a different way.
I believe we who realize a far right wing Conservative could not be elected at this time, far exceed those who insist on pulling up an unelectable as the GOP candidate.
