I've addressed this issue before. Some time ago it occurred to me that liberals are not only merely wrong, incorrect, but they are absolutely and totally delusional and schizo. Only a person literally, truly, and VERY deeply out of touch with reality could be a liberal. It is truly a sickness. How, for example, could one live in this country in this day and age and say of the poor, "They are kept down by the system. It's not their fault, and what they need is government programs and for evil rich people to stop oppressing them."? And this list, as noted by our comic friend, extends to EVERY political issue imaginable. They are sick, sick, perverse people, instinctively and reflexively opposed to ALL that is right, good, and even commensensical. (Is that a word?) Race relations, economics, foreign policy, immigration, the efficacy of the UN, etc.
I read a good one recently -- The French are rightly up in arms over the "cultural colonialism" represented by ONE Disney theme park in their nation, and, OF COURSE, it's an issue of importance and how could we blame the French for not wanting their country to be as brash and tacky as ours. But.... America is supposed to accept 10 million? 50 million? (every living soul in the world?) running across our borders unchecked and undocumented and if we don't like it, we are xenophobic nut jobs.
An interesting corollary to all that I said above... If THEY are not delusional and sick, then, by definition, WE are delusional and sick. Either way you cut it, I think it's safe to say that at least 20% of our voting age citizens (the 20% hardcore libs or the 20% hardcore cons) are sick delusional people who simply cannot see reality when it stares them in the face. Spooky.
How compassionate would it be to never let a child learn to walk?
That is what liberalism teaches by insisting that people are incapable of surviving without the government carrying them from cradle to grave. (And therefore maintaining power and control over them.)
Their mantra is "It's somebody elses fault!"
The conservative eagerly teaches the child to walk, run, think, create, initiate, produce to the limits of the child's abilities.
Conservative's mantra "You and you alone are responsible for your position in life." "Your life is what YOU make it!"
