Rudy Giuliani vigorously defended his wife, Judith, as the perfect stepmom just days after his son, Andrew, revealed he doesn't get along with her. "My wife, Judith, is a loving and caring mother and stepmother," Giuliani told reporters after a meeting with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and county sheriffs.....he stood foursquare behind his wife, whose highly public relationship with Giuliani began while he was still married to the mother of his two kids.
Andrew Giuliani bluntly disclosed.... "There's obviously a little problem that exists between me and his wife." Sources familiar with the difficult relationship between the Giuliani kids and their stepmom said it started deteriorating before the couple married June 2003, but went south quickly after the wedding.
Giuliani's kids had hoped to carve out time to spend with their dad alone as things got worse, but he opted against it, the sources said.
At the same time, Rudy was involved in the life of Judith's daughter, Whitney, and even spoke at her graduation from York Preparatory school in May 2004. Sources say Giuliani has not visited Andrew at Duke, and that his relations with Caroline also are strained....even worse than with his son. Before she wed Giuliani, Judith went through a bitter court fight with Bruce Nathan over who would have custody of their daughter. Her ex-husband filed court papers in 2001 that said his daughter ran away from her mother when she was 16 and voluntarily moved in with him during the time when her mother was regularly at Giuliani's side in public while he was trying to get a divorce from Hanover.

Rudeo's family problems broke while visiting Arnie Schwarzenegger.
As Rudy nervously explained his relationship with Andrew to a full court press...... the TV report noted Rudy's campaign aide was sitting with the press corps apparently "posing" as a reporter.
As Rudy finished his shaky answer, his aide then stopped all discussion by throwing Rudy a question on another subject.......as if she was a disinterested reporter.
How'd you like to have this devious crew running your government?
FYI: The news report ended with a poll showing 88% of those polled had a problem with a father not attending his son's graduation.
HOLY BUTTERY MUFFINS BATMAN! A POLITICIAN WITH A ROCKY PERSONAL LIFE!
No Great President has ever had difficulties with their children, never... /s

Its getting dirty a little early. Now lets hear about Hillary's affair with Web Hubbell.
You're right. But, personally, even as an adult I would have a real hard time with my dad and stepmom if my dad cheated on my mom with her. I absolutely cannot stand cheating. You're not happy, get a divorce, the family will survive. Outwardly cheating and then announcing the divorce at a press conference is another matter. Can't say I blame the kids. Even before the presidential run I thought it was a totally classless act.
Rudy weakness will be family values and national security (for example the Kerik fiasco and his support of illegals).
I can just see Hillary setting herself up as the protected of family values, with tears in her eyes saying how she stood by her husband.
A family with teens who play both parents against each other. Who ever heard of such a thing!
If Giuliani were a leading Democrat this probably wouldn't be an issue. The media would see to that. But I fear these kinds of stories will hound him straight through the campaign and be a distraction. That, along with his shaky record on issues important to conservatives, makes me very wary about his being the GOP nominee.
I agree.
Rudy broke Presidential Campaign Rule Number One: Never hand your opponents really, really, really good issues to beat you up with.
How true!
Oh please! That's just nuts!
I know, I never .... /s
Sounds like they hve a beautiful relationship.
I'm no Rudyfan but I couldn't care less. Frankly I want to hear the candidates talk about the issues. This isn't American idol.
You got that right---nails Rudeo's problems but good.
As far back as 1993, when he ran for mayor of New York City, Giuliani was dogged by accusations that he pulled strings to avoid the draft. In fact, Rudy wangled a rare occupational deferment from serving in the Vietnam war in 1969, when he was a law clerk.
However, Rudy's scheming to get an occupational deferment is a far cry from 2008 Rudy's assertions, that he opposed the Viet war on "tactical and strategic grounds."
Egocentric power-hungry Rudumbo's "tactical and strategic grounds" blather is nothing but a naked attempt to pump his 2008 resume in the absence of solid military credentials.
"Peace through strength" was the Reagan line Rudy kept regurgitating at CPAC. I guess he can call on his "military" experience as a law clerk for that. /s
The fact that the kid didn't want his father to attend his graduation has absolutely NO influence whatsoever on my support. Ask the other FReepers who support Rudy, and I have a hunch they will tell you the same thing.
LOL-----nice zinger.
Besides, Rudeo BETTER say that, and mean it..... or else he sleeps on the sofa.
