"He is a great guy, but Hillary would win in a cakewalk blowout."

Are you kidding? So far, from what I've seen of Hillery's campaign - she's about the worst I've ever seen! I'll tell you something - she's no Bill Clinton!

No likeability factor. Her timing is terrible. She can't even muster a decent southern accent when she needs to. She's a terrible public speaker & every picture I see of her, she's making these weird facial expressions. She's even dorkier than John F'n Kerry!

Obama or Gore - they're going to get the nomination - not Hillary!. I can't believe so many people are basing their whole support on this woman winning. She botched pulling off the "Great Healthcare Debacle" & she's going to botch this campaign too.

I am all for a fence, but not in Texas. In Texas the Rio Grande is the border. Erecting a fence would deny a whole bunch of cattle their water.

Not if the fence were a law making it a felony to enter the US at any point other than a legitimate border crossing point.

That's what I say as well. Hillary would win ALL the electoral votes and some 85% of the popular vote agaist Hunter as an opponent.

Your analysis is invalid since you are a supporter of the GOP and not conservative ideology.

"or lobbied to be Bush's VP choice in 2000"

Thank God he isn't connected to Bush.

At this point, I don't think even Rice could get elected if she chose to run.

The libs hate Bush and he has totally disappointed the conservatives on many issues.

I support Hunter first and Gingrich second.

Bill Richardson may sneak in and run (fake of course) right of Rudy, Romney or McCain!

Portions of the Rio Grand are shallow enough to wade across. How is that gonna stop illegals from coming on over?

"Seems to me that Hunter is the only candidate talking about issues. Everyone else is busy playing popularity contest. In the case of Hillary she's doing Foghorn Leghorn impersonations."

You got that right! Bears repeating! Go Hunter!!!!!

Texas, NM, and AZ have no man lands between them and Mexico
Here in Calif. San Diego, with 3 million+ people is right up against the border of Mexico.
We are fed up with the invasion and fed up spending over 3 billion dollars a yr here supporting them.

Republican Lunch Group at Aunt Chiladas Restaurant on Hilton Head Island.

Rudy had lunch groups here in CA with not even that many.

You can't be to secure with your candidate by bashing Hunter.
Who ever the candidate will be in the end I would have voted for but it is people like you that have driven many people to write in Hunter's name in 11/08
Keep it up you will drive more that way.

I really like Hunter. Let me say as someone that has decided to back Mitt Romney, that unlike the Rudy people on here, I will say nothing bad about Duncan Hunter except for his questionable record on spending. I actually got to briefly meet him on Friday and he seemed really genuine. I really hope he can gain traction in the race and push some issues that might otherwise get thrown to the back, especially immigration and China.

I'm rolling on the floor laughing. It boggles the mind that there are so many enamoured with a guy that can't crack two percent nationally, that would lose a fifty state blowout to any of the Dim candidates. And, if the one in a billion chance came through and he WAS actually elected, his protectionist policies would wreck the economy like Herb Hoover's. You guys have a great connection to the real world. NOT !!!
