Anything is possible, but I have to disagree with you. My SIL and her family were visiting from Illinois this weekend. They started talking about what a great president they thought Rudy would be. Knowing my SIL as I do, I asked her how she got past the abortion issue to support Rudy. Turns out she was not aware of his position. My BIL did not know how Rudy felt about civil unions.

By the time they left town this morning, they were no longer Rudy supporters. This is going to happen more and more everyday with an increasing number of people.

Nice story but if they can be so easily converted I doubt the conversion will last. Rudy will get a solid majority in Illinois. Likely your in laws will be part of it.

I had a similar experience with a friend of a friend who was talking up RINO-rudy pretty good.

I made him aware of his views on abortion and gun control, and that shut him up about rudy.

I agree. It might not be wholesale. But it will be enough to lose at least a few crucial states to the Dims. And I don't believe NY/NJ/PA/CA are going to vote for any Republican for president.

It took me about 30 seconds with my best friend and his fiance.

Me: "Did you know Rudy is anti-gun?"

Him: "Really? Then **** Rudy"

Her: "Yeah"

Two votes he lost, in 30 seconds. I can GUARANTEE that when his stances actually become known, a TON of people here in NC will go 3rd party or sit out.
