Yes you're right. I knew they'd be doing a game today but couldn't remember if it was 1 pm or 7 pm but I went to RKO's site and found that yes, the game would be at 1. Not sure
when it'll end; 3:30 or 4? There's always online...
And yes, WCRN is carrying the game too!
Spring training games that will be affected. I am
assuming WEEI will not carry these games instead and
they will be on WRKO...
Monday, Mar. 5 - Sox vs. Dodgers 1:05p City of Palms
Wednesday, Mar. 7 - Sox vs. Mets 1:05p City of Palms
Thursday, Mar. 8 - Sox vs. BlueJays 1:05p City of Palms
Wednesday, Mar. 14 - Sox vs. Pirates 1:05p City of Palms
Friday, Mar. 23 - Sox vs. Orioles 1:05p City of Palms
Tuesday, Mar. 27 - Sox vs. Pirates 1:05p City of Palms
Thursday, Mar. 29 - Sox vs. Drays 1:05p City of Palms
*This schedule is tentative and subject to change
oops, I mean games that will affect Howie's show.
Borges is in trouble over at the Globe for pulling a Barnicle. Dale Arnold just said on WEEI that the Globe is busy deleting reader's posts to their website that reference the plagiarism story.... This right up Howie's alley.
what the heck? trying to get the webstream and it's giving me Fox Sports Radio
Front page story in the Herald about Howie wanting the judge in the Finneran case to jail him because of the threat. Lots of people sure to tune to WRKO today at 3 pm, right, to hear what Howie has to say?
1) WRKO running Red Sox spring training game
2) On the WRKO live streaming, you can't hear Howie because they're running Fox Sports instead.
Maybe Howie will be on when the game ends, but this is a lost opportunity

try Internet Explorer won't work on Firefox.
They're talking about Yao Ming or something
you might be able to hear the following if WRKO can fix their webstream
WRKO right now: bottom 7th Dodgers lead 2-0
MONDAY, MARCH 5
1st Hour
It backfired as hit man humor and now Herald columnist Howie Carr wants Tom Finneran behind bars for a tongue-in-cheek threat to have him whacked and stuffed in the trunk of Gov. Deval Patricks Cadillac. Is Howie overreacting?
2nd Hour
3rd Hour
CHUMP LINE! Call 617-779-3469 and leave Howie, Sandy or Happy a message about today's stories or anything else buzzing around your bonnet and we may play it back on the air!.
Max Robins the TV Guru and editor and chief of Broadcasting & Cable will be with us to answer all of those nagging questions about your favorite show on the boob tube...
4th HOUR
update from Brian Maloney savewrko.com:
>>Howie Raring To Go
Despite being pulled off the air in favor of a low-interest Red Sox preseason game, Howie Carr is clearly chomping at the bit to address the Finneran situation.
Beyond Portland's WGAN 560, it isn't clear who is carrying his entire first hour today. For those able to pick up 560's powerful signal, Carr told listeners a few minutes ago he will wait to discuss Finneran until WRKO and the other affiliates join his show in progress.
yup it's on WGAN 560 if you can pick it up
talking about bill proposing a fine for smoking in your car.
oops it's on WNTK streaming
http://www.wntk.com/wntk.asx
Has Howie even mentioned his entire week being screwed up by the Sox yet?
If he has I missed it.
I have an FM retransmitter set to 88.5 or something and am rebroadcasting the WNTK signal (via computer) in my apartment... :)
you lucky devil!
Broadcasting the Sox on WRKO is a dumb effing move for precisely reasons like this one . . .
Them thar servers are full up. Now I have to go remove all the garbage realplayer has inflicted on this machine.
You're not thinking strategically. There might be a method to their apparent madness. I'm not up on what else is going on in radio/sports "synergy".
I'd bet the Sox and WRKO (corporate) are listening to consultants.
