Thanks for posting that. I thought he was a fiscal conservative. His raving liberalism and downright socialism in other areas disqualifies him for my vote, but I still hold out some level of respect for the guy. I gave him a pass on some of his judicial appointments, believing his hands were tied. I've seen JR blow that theory to pieces. I'm not pleased at all with Rudy's gun-grabbing, support of ripping babies apart during childbirth, and support for the advancement of the homosexual/pedophile agendas. He has many issues in his family life that I find appalling, but I don't put the same weight on them as most of the conservatives here do. I enjoyed my visits to NYC while he was mayor. I still admire the public relations work he did in the wake of 9/11. He's charismatic, and has a cute smile. That's enough for a desperate housewife, but I want more from a president than that. I want someone who will lead this nation through the difficult twists and turns we're faced with, without throwing away everything that makes this nation worth fighting for.
You're welcome. Always knew Rudy was a hardcore lefty liberal on the social issues. Up until a year ago, I honestly thought Rudy was a fiscal conservative of sorts and have mentioned on several occaions over the years on this forum. Last summer I began to do my own research into Rudy`s fiscal record as Mayor of NYCity, and turned up plenty of data and information that showed Rudy was no fiscal conservative. Rudy may have had some limited success imposing fiscal restraint on the city budget. However, while Rudy was fiscally responsible by NYCity standards, he was no fiscal conservative.
I stand by my post. There is no reason for the Manhattan Institute or Edmund J. McMahon to post falsehoods. After all, the MI and Rudy have had a close working relationship for 20 years.
