Let me ask this another way. Do you think if Rudy was pro-life, he'd have less support? Would his polls be lower?

you mean in general election polls? my guess is, right now, they would be the same.

his support would be lower amongst independents (young single women especially), higher amongst the base - a wash.

No and no.

Abortion is NOT a top priority for most American voters.

I think that there is a group here, for who it has suddenly become THE hot button issue, but IF Rudy was THE most rabid anti-abrotion person on the face of the earth, they still would be against him. Some of that has to do with the fact that there are some here who hate everything and anyone who is in anyway connected with N.Y.C.; they also hate/vilify Florida, and California.
