I don’t know how Rudy always manages to be in the wrong (right) place at the right (wrong) time. First in the middle of 9/11 and then this battle between the social and fiscal conservatives.

Giuliani is more like Rockefeller. I'm not quite sure who the Barry Goldwater is, but Giuliani winning would most certainly be like Rockefeller defeating Goldwater in 1964. Also Giuliani has nothing showing he is a fiscal conservative, not with the debt he left New York with. I think he'd pull the "tax cuts for the rich" crap in a heartbeat.

If you want a REAL fiscal conservative, look up Tom Tancredo. Wins the "friend of the taxpayer" award all the time. Was one of only ten or eleven congressman who tried to control spending after hurricane Katrina. One of the few non-porkers in congress (his opponent in 2006, Bill Winter, ran on the fact that Tancredo's district doesn't get much federal money.) Never supported any tax increases, never opposed a tax cut. That is a real proven fiscal conservative. Giuliani is not. Spare us the lies.
