But the anti-Rudyites lump EVERYONE who doesn't agree with and post just as they do, into the second group; including such well known and previously highly though of personages as Ted Olsen, into the latter group.

I happen to fall into the first group, as do most of the Rudy supporters on this site; yet I have been told that I am in the latter group, or worse.

My personal opinion is that Ted Olsen believes he was slighted when Bush didn't nominate him to the Supreme Court. There is no doubt in my mind that this is what his ultimate goal is. So, he signs on as an adviser to Rudy and if Rudy wins he will be well-positioned for an appointment. He WILL NOT be in a campaign position where he needs to be critical of other candidates, so if someone else wins the nomination he will have no problem switching campaigns.
