I don't care if you criticize Guiliani, even all the tiresome predictable spam is easy to scroll down and avoid (how many hundreds of times do we need to see it, really). I was talking about personal attacks against other members of the board. The insults have been vicious and personal lately and it seems just about any term is acceptable against a Guiliani supporter.

I agree that there should not be personal attacks. However, I recognize that there are two distinct types of Rudy supporters here.

- Those who support him because they believe he is the only Republican who can win and as such they are willing to ignore his liberal politics.

- And those who support him because his liberal politics most resemble their own.

I have a feeling that many in the second group feel attacked because they recognize that their liberal beliefs are incompatible with those of most FReepers.

You need to tell us that you feel really, really bad as a result. Then all of us can respond to your feelings with an outpouring of compassion. I mean, that is the liberal way to discuss issues, is it not?
