I respect your opinion and we agree to disagree. But I do think that your dragging the Bible into this discussion is really clouding your judgement as to dealing with the reality of what we face here and abroad in the coming years. (Unless you plan to stay away from all politics in which case you will lose the right to complain if and when Hitlary's jack-booted thugs knock on your door.)

BTW, your Rudy/Caligula comparison is the EXACT kind of unfair, insulting, and over-the-top commentary that ignited me (and many other fair-minded Freepers) recently. It is counter-productive and does nothing but sow division and hard feelings.

Al, no offense intended, but you really do come off as pompous when you make statements like that.

Many here concur with the Founding Fathers' view of moral absolutes.

I urge you to cease ceding ground to those who would whitewash the Bible out of society--either your way, by what may be an aversion to discussing it as regards the relevant moral trajectory of candidates--or permitting to come to power evil rulers who very clearly would act to make illegal such discussion--as your boogeyman Hillary would (and she most certainly would)--as would Rudy, from what seems to be his level of genuine support for people of faith.

As regards your objection to my Rudy/Caligula parallel, when one throws a rock into a pack of dogs, the one that yelps is the one got hit. That's not you I nailed, I hit the target--Rudy's CHARACTER. The truth hurts. I say the parallel is appropriate.

I stand by my comments.

And your "veterans support Rudy" BarbraStriesand sows peace and harmony? This veteran will NEVER support a baby-killing, gun-grabbing LIBERAL like McGiuliRomney. Your boy, Rudy, represents NOTHING that I believe in or hold dear, especially the CONSTITUTION, which is the SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND, in case you were wondering. That you could support someone so dead set AGAINST the Constitution tells me you never took your oath to support it (against ALL enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC) very seriously. Oh... and I suspect there may be more than a grain of truth in the Rudy/Caligula comparison. Unfair it may be, truth can be that way sometimes.
