I wish everyone who's gone overboard with their straight no responses would have your clear-eyed view.
NOW is the time to get a conservative candidate...but who exactly is that?
And which conservative is going to beat HRC Obama? We go on endlessly around here about the MSM--do you really believe they're going to allow a hardcore conservative to be portrayed as anything but a Buchananoid Anti-Christ in THEIR media?
We can be all bellowing "Hell no!" here, and that may make us feel all cool and hardcore. But if Hillary wins, we sure are going to sound stupid if we're proudly proclaiming "I didn't vote for Rudy because he wasn't conservative enough!" while the WOT collapses.
Fight for a real conservative to be the nom, but if Rudy ends up being the nom, and you don't vote for him, then you're opening the door for HRC and the end of the WOT...and what difference will Rudy's abortion stand make if we're all dead?
Those are the facts. After this past November it looks like many so-called conservatives don't care about those, as long as they get to bray "I didn't support a non-conservative."
Seeing how Bush isn't conservative enough for those folks, I find it curious why they would stand by while a congress was elected that is against Bush's tax cuts, against the WOT, against his SCOTUS nominees, but FOR his illegal immigration policy. I've yet to hear how THAT helps the conservative cause.
Similarly, if it comes down to Rudy vs. HRC, I don't see how a vote for Hillary--or not voting for Rudy, which is the same as giving Hillary a vote in the final accounting--helps conservatives, either.
In what ways is Rudy Giuliani superior to Mitt Romney?
