Cherry, is it right of you to have children just so that someone will take care of you in your old age? Is that your reason that I should have kids? If I am feeble when I get old, then I suppose I will end up in a nursing home. Difference is, I will have enough money to afford a nice one. Once again, I am not trying to avoid "horrible" children, as you put it. I don't hate kids. I just don't want to have any, and none of you have convinced me yet. What about people who can't have kids? Do you say these mean things to them??
Since this seems to have been revived - FReeRider Ping.
I have 15 year old boy/girl twins, and right now my wife and I would be hard-pressed to argue about how great it is to have kids. When they were born, yes. But beginning in the last year or so, they are asserting their freedom (while still depending on us for room, board, transporation and money). All that said, we made the right decision. Despite periodic regret we are happy with our choice.
However, those who feel otherwise should be allowed their choice, without a hassle from the rest of us.
I have no problem with your choice not to have children.
See my profile page - not having kids is one of the "FR Deadly Sins" in the minds of some here.
