I myself have used the term many times when I was a teenager, I certainly am not proud of it. As my hatred is of sin, I am properly dealing with it by allowing it to continue unabated in spite of the fact that it may be out of favor with those who promote evil. I am properly open to those who will repent of their sin, but also properly oppose all who promote it. The term "faggot" is not one I use frequently, as I rarely have occasion to speak of homosexuals in any event, but by the same token it is one that I steadfastly refuse to avoid or condemn, as doing so is tantamount to promoting homosexuality.
