Rudy Giuliani's shaky family life is being hit with new tremors, as his son Andrew hit the interview circuit confirming that he is estranged from his father - and that the root of the tension is Giuliani's current wife, Judith.
"There's obviously a little problem that exists between me and his wife," Andrew Giuliani, 21, told The New York Times. "And we're trying to figure that out. But as of right now it's not working as well as we would like."
The comments underscored what friends have whispered and Andrew himself has all but acknowledged for more than a year - that relations with his father have been frosty for some time.
As one confidant told the Daily News last year, "I really believe he loves his father. It's just that right now it's still a little difficult to communicate with him."
Andrew said in an interview to be broadcast today on ABC's "Good Morning America" that he and his father went through "a decent amount of time" when they weren't speaking to one another, but they are now trying to work that out.
"No matter what he's done, I love my father," he said. "It's not as good as it once was - but it's better than it was at its lowest."
Andrew said The Times interview was not an attempt to scuttle his father's pursuit of the Republican nomination for President in 2008, saying, "I do not want to hurt him."
Still, the relationship is icy enough that Andrew told The News he would not be campaigning for his father and would instead chase his goal of becoming a pro golfer.

Rudy's second wife starred in "The Vagina Monologues." The mother of his children. No wonder the kid's conflicted. She's a b@t*h on wheels and has probably fostered father hatred. If that's not grounds for divorce, I don't know what is. Now he's with a true helpmeet and a woman who loves him.
What about Newt? Wife #3. He's declaring something on Sept. 30.
What about Fred Thompson? He's on wife #2.
True. Except the MSM will choose sides. Always do. The "independents" and "moderates" will be bombarded with all things Rudy, while they run interference for the Dem.
I'm not supporting Newt or Thompson.
My advice to victims of abuse is to just shoot him, and never look back.
True, and a reason to support Romney. The MSM have already shot their wad on Mitt, and have been reduced to delving back several generations to find dirt to hurl. Giuliani's past public and personal life is a tinderbox to which the MSM merely needs apply a match when the time is ripe.
Well, that may be good advice. Tell it to the Rudy supporters.

Well, I'm sure that no American can understand what it's like to get a divorce and have problems with your kids as a result. Nope, nobody will be able to relate to that.

However, his father is unwilling to make things work with him. If you read the article, you'll see that Rudy refused to go to his son's high school graduation, doesn't call him on birthdays, etc. In other words, an all around great dad.
You can't be that stupid.

If this is true, then he is an unfit father, an unfit leader of his own family.
