Hmmmm, for the record I admire both Michelle Malkin and Ann Coulter.

Now MM is condemning AC's use of the word faggot at the CPAC.

AC's words were divided into three parts specifically:
1- I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards
2- but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word ‘faggot,’
3- so I — so kind of an impasse, can’t really talk about Edwards

Of course all the hue and cry is about part 2. Why? Is the statement true or false? Does it stand on its own as factual commentary or not?

If it stands on its own, then the real hue and cry is about the association between a word synonoymous with
a) homosexual
b) gay
c) queer
and the person of John Edwards.

But wait a minute. Both gay and queer are both used in the main-stream-media on a regular basis as is homosexual.

So where is the foul? Is is the outing (?) of John Edwards, something the homosexual community believes in accomplishing whenever it suits their ends?
Or is the foul in associating John Edwards' sissy behavior (see his youtube 'breck' videos if you don't get this) with gay/queer/homosexual/(faggot) behavior?

If you believe it is the latter, make yourself sit down and watch a few episodes of "Will and Grace". There you will discover associating sissy behavior with being gay meets with wide spread approval. At least in gay approved sitcoms.

This leads me to believe the foul is totally artificial and an application of a double standard. Maybe AC as a straight and conservative woman is not permitted by today's PC standards to associate sissy behavior with the gay community. That is apparently reserved for those in said community or friends of the same.

As for MM, I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in her language during her interview of Sean Hannity for HotAir when she described Senator and former POW John McCain as "John Screw You McCain".

Surely MM is aware of what the phrase Screw You means and the act to which it refers. MM - for shame!

Now like MM, I do not use the term faggot in my home. Nor do I use the phrase Screw You in my home.

Someone who does use the term Screw You freely and complains about a single useage of the term faggot is akin to the pot calling the kettle black.

Nevertheless, I remain a fan of both MM and AC. This little dust up will not change that.

Finally, to be clear, as a former country boy - I do find John Edward's concern about his hair sisified. And as an ambivalent admirer of John McCain I am very disappointed by his dismissal of those gathered at CPAC. JM showed he clearly has a tin ear when it comes to the conservative community.

Now, in applying logic to the matter, inevitably this will invite explanations from liberals as to why it is wrong or offensive to call attention to PrettyBoy Edwards' sissy affectation and its association in some people's minds with the more unsavory parallel highlighted by Ms. Coulter's F-bomb for national inspection.

Let the debate begin on why "sissy" behavior is disorienting even when exhibited by unctuous and smarmy liberal demagogues pandering to class antagonisms in concert with excessive attention to hair care and populist flattery.

His Deputy Dawg imitation is pretty dang good though.
