Tancredo is telling Murtha that "the fact is, we are leaving Iraq, and we are leaving pretty soon."
Wolf asked if that means we are leaving with a "victory" or a loss....and Tancredo said "that remains to be seen, but I do KNOW that we are leaving"..and for some reason mentioned November.
"We must begin the process of withdrawal from Iraq, it isn't helping us in the overall war against Islam".

Tancredo is right. We ARE leaving Iraq at some point. I doubt Tom means leaving Iraq in the same sense Democrats mean it, but leaving it after we have helped the Iraqis get their act together. That's been the plan the whole time as far as I know. Tommy Franks specifically said, in his book and in person I think, that the war in Iraq would take up to ten years and then there would be a US presence in the country for some time after, to help preserve the peace and reinforce the development of democracy in the area. I have not heard that changing.
Democrats are just playing politics with the issue. We don't hear Democrats saying to get out of Kosovo or Korea, etc. They are just opposed to whatever President Bush is doing, Democrats relish the issue and could care less about the welfare of the troops or citizens in the US or Iraq.
