On TCM:
-
Flower Drum Song
The smash Rodgers-Hammerstein Broadway hit was only adequately adapted in this overblown production; perhaps the cloying sweetness of the story played better within the confines of a stage.

Too early for politics...
Lindsey Graham better be careful, not to goof about Rumsfeld like his boss John McCain did. Besides NOT attending CPAC, McCain seems to be having time to attend "international Association of Firefighters conference" (who endorsed Kerry last time) along with his buddy Chuck Hagel and all the democrat prez. candidates.
Dianne Feinstein flies around using her husband's jet burning tons of CO2 & then talikng about the cause of global warming. Don't expect Wallace to question about her hypocracy.
This will be the second week in a row I'll miss the shows and thread participation....brutal business travel schedule. I may be able to peruse the site during my layover. I can hardly wait to see what nonsense Murtha has to say on MTP. Have fun, guys.....
Senator Feinstein is also a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee. She currently serves as the Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Interior Department and Related Agencies, and is a member of the Subcommittees on Agriculture, Commerce-Justice-Science, Defense, Energy & Water, and Transportation-Housing. She previously served as the Ranking Member of the Military Construction and Veteran Affairs Subcommittee.

I wonder how Chris Wallace will question her about the veterans' outpatient care at Walter Reed situation.
Even if he did I'm sure she'd play the carbon credits card.
Instead of watching Murtha on MTP today, is there anyway I can buy an offset credit and have someone else watch it for me?
Someone compared that analogy to Mafia donating some money to Church.
I suggest we conservatives offer the liberals a tax cut credit plan. We who want tax cuts can get as much as we want just as long as we can find a liberal to pay for the difference.
This thread, FRiend, IS your watch offset. Established 1998 just for that purpose!
Also, to keep me from throwing things at the TV. Better to rant here than to damage the house and its contents!
That 's Good comparison to carbon credit.
I am willing to sell my carbon credit offsets to anyone today, as I will save energy by leaving my TV off during the Sunday Shows.
Mark Steyn's latest column compares it to a calorie neutral diet by Henry VIII.
