Rudy's Reception (at CPAC)

McCain-hating and Romney-bashing have been pretty much equal-opportunity pastimes around CPAC this year.

Rudy, on the other hand, has gotten mostly a free pass. And, today, his speech was filled to capacity with folks waiting in the hallway to get in. There were also dense crowds around all the TVs in the exhibit halls. The charm offensive is strong, indeed. People just love listening to him.

I took some video of conservatives quite mesmerized by the Mayor, so I'm working on getting that up. They were doing crowd control outside the hall in which he was speaking. Many of those folks crowding the hall are pro-life, social conservatives who just can't resist him, despite the policy differences. I don't think Rudy will remain unattacked, as he was this week, but the feel-good factor is big for him, no matter what kind of conservative he's talking to.

Today, he talked about leadership, security, toughness, and Reagan to a crowd who's looking for a leader in the image of Reagan in a time that needs security. It was a good pitch, and there were more people listening than have listened to anything at CPAC this week.

And there are no limits set for what can be said against Rudy Guiliani, and Mitt Romney too in some respects.

Rudy's past makes the possible critical comments just about limitless.

why did you post #37 and #40 to me and call me your FRiend? I don't know you. If Rudy gets the nomination, I will either vote independent or leave the country! I have NOT bashed your candidate...I suggest that perhaps the next time you use a ping list for a battle that you probably check to see who you are yelling at and blaming before you include them.

Second suggestion: Take a good long look at your man's history and record. He is FAR from a strong conservative. But then, some people are mesmerized by show and smooth talk, forgetting that "by your fruits ye shall know them".

Let's not forget that the things that happened in NY after 9-11 were not the sole work of one man!! Give credit where credit is due. If the man is trying to use the unfortunate events of 9-11 and the healing and work that came after it as a free ticket into a Presidential seat, that man would be suspect!! IMHO, that has been his rise. If he would become president he should share it with ALL who brought the healing and recovery about in NY!!

by the way, remove me from your list. thank you. whom ever you were yelling at...next time take better aim.

I think you should vote for Hillary. She's much more conservative than Rudy, after all. Go Hillary.

Sex always wins out with Rudy. Rudy-in-heat is something else, ain't he?

Vote for Hillary. She's almost a virgin. Go Hillary
