Its primary time.

Rudy was also a Democrat. The difference between Reagan and Giuliani was Reagan had a philophical rebirth which antidated his run for President. I see no indication of a philosophical rebirth in Giuliani, just equivocation. And some of the comments he made about conservatives in his little You-Tube flick were particularly biting. I would WELCOME any sincere effort on his part to redefine himself as a national candidate instead of the mayor of one of the most socialistic cities in America. He could make a good argument for what he did in that role, vis-a-vis his aspirations for higher office. That would make a LOT of people a heck of a lot more comfortable with him.

As for your assertion that his philosophies are in part in conformance with Republican ones, I can only state this appears to be the case with respect to the war on terror. But then so are Joe Liberman's. And THAT doesn't make HIM a Republican.

AGAIN, posting the philosphical statement upon which this forum was founded and questioning the political philosphy of a candidate with respect to those philosophies is a valid question. It hardly equates to the lunatic Bush-bashing of the far left.

I resent the flood of media coverage extended to Giuliani to the exclusion of other viable candidates out there. I KNOW where their leanings lie philosophically with respect to ours.

And I think it is a good thing to make most Republicans aware of the potential flaws in a candidate, especially ones which could loose him support of his base and turn the White House over to Hillery. I'm SURE the Democrats will make EVERY EFFORT to do so themselves in the course of the campaign should he be nomianted.

You better get used to the flood of coverage going to the candidate you DON'T want for POTUS....because no matter who the GOP candidate is...he isn't going to get nearly as much MSM coverage as the Dem candidate.

I think that is a rule or something.
