I disagree. She just went up 3 notches in esteem, in my eyes.

Why? Because she eclipsed all the GOP candidates and gave the dying candidacy of Edwards a boost? What was the purpose of her comment? The comment itself doesn't bother me, but why focus the MSM on that? I would rather have had the CPAC conference expose the American people to some really good speeches by people such as Duncan Hunter and Romney.

If you think that is a boost to Edwards you are smoking something. He'll be known as John "F" Edwards from now on. Ann is Ann. She is not on anyone's campaign staff. She can say whatever she wants. ANytime, anyplace. Has said equally provocative things at each CPAC convention. There might be some candidates that worry because they wanted the homo vote, but I'm willing to bet the others could care less.

What really bothers me is all the people saying "Hey, what she said reflects nothing on the rest of the GOP, they shouldn't have to distance themselves from her."

But how many times have we looked to the moderate muslim world, waiting for them to distance themselves verbally from terrorists and extremists? People here are seeing this from the inside, not from the outside. We who are conservative already know that Ann Coulter saying "faggot" reflects nothing on Mitt, Duncan, Newt, etc.... but to the outsider, the conservative world is one big indistinguishable block. When one does something screwed up, it reflects on us all.
