March 3, 2007 -- WASHINGTON - Rudy Giuliani's liberal stance on abortion, guns and gays wasn't his biggest problem yesterday as he addressed a conference of conservative activists - it was his having dressed in drag.
A whisper campaign targeting the front-running GOP White House contender's cross-dressing stunts at gala political dinners in New York and on "Saturday Night Live" was the hot topic among right-leaning activists.

So going after al queda is a law enforcement issue?
Does that mean every prosecutor in the country who worked on mafia & RICO cases is qualified to be a 'war president'???

My response was to the poster who said those who criticize Giuliani over dressing in drag were likely closeted latent homosexuals. You know, answer a ridiculous post with a ridiculous post.

When it went from a joke to looking better than my mom and my mom's a pretty good looking lady.
And that is the real question "What will Rudy wear for the War on Terror? Bespoke suits or Donna Karen NY?"
Those pictures are really going to be a problem for Rudy, they speak louder than words, two weeks of Rudy/Marilynn before the 08 elections and many people won't vote at all.
I can hear Deuteronomy being quoted all over the country...

I've noticed that some Freepers seem to be obsessed with these pictures.Indeed. They are the ones who will swallow the MSM bait on this because it plays into their own sexual ambiguity and anxiety. Rudyphobes are the ones who need watching. They could queer the whole deal.

A whisper campaign Whisper? More like running in circles and shrieking.

Men who dress in women's clothing likely have overt homosexual tendencies which they embrace. So, basically we should not vote for Rudy because Al Qaeda dont like 'gays'.

Imagine these photos on large placards on "the Arab street" for the next eight years... Are you saying that he doesn't pass Kerry's Global Test?

No, he isn't. He's a gun-grabber; which is why I'll never vote for him Now that is a good point

Yes, they were for fund raisers and not for "Gay Organizations" as some posters on Free Republic have stated. At least Rudy has a sense of humor and is not as uptight as some.

He is not a cross-dresser, he had some fun at 2 fund-raisers. So what? A-freaking-men!
I cannot believe how many people around here actually seem to care about this. Does being a conservative have to make you humorless? If so, you might want to re-think your definition of Conservativism.

Are some of us saying Hillary would be a better President?
Sorry, I'd vote for Nader before I'd vote for Hillary.

Rudy can do what he wants. He is a politician and should have known this would be used against him though, but you guys answer honestly. Would you be as tolerant towards any of the other candidates, if they showed up in a dress?
To: tsowellfan
No, we shouldn't vote for Rudy because he's a liberal.
My post was a response to another poster, read what I was responding to and you might understand.

and marched right along with the NAMBLA banner that was also proudly on display. Bulls#!t.
Prove it.

Pro-gun control? Pro homosexual agenda? Pro abortion on demand. Endorsed Mario Cuomo? Etc., etc.
He doesn't pass my test, nor that of many other GOP primary voters.
To: burzum
I'm only a "social policeman" for public figures who wish to be a Representative of the US. To me that's the whole meaning of being a Social Conservative. You may find nothing wrong with it but I do and I also believe it's more than some joke for him. I come from the old school where boys don't play with Barbie's or My Little Pony.

My, my how nearsighted. That is actually excellent!!
Because 'those pictures' will allow Rudy to hit a self-deprecating HOME RUN in the Presidential debates, just like RR did with the 'age issue' in 1984.
