Don't defend Ann where she doesn't deserve it. She is not a talented writer. What's good about her is that she is not afraid to say what many are thinking. She goes too far but it is no farther than the left goes in their personal attacks.
She is actually an excellent writer. She is a polemicist, and some people do not like the polemic style. But in the popular genre of that style, there are few writers as skilled, trenchant, or efficiently economical with her words as Ann.
She's not a talented writer?? On what basis are you qualified to make that judgement? Professional expertise or personal opinion? Ann is a brilliant writer who is sometimes misunderestimated by people without a sense of humor.
