That seems a bit extreme....but political prudence requires that she be given very careful consideration before giving her the podium at venues such as this in the future.

Let's not flagelate ourselves over this matter too much. Sure, Ms Coulter played to form and went over the top, but, had Dean et al not raised the issue, no one would have noticed or cared. By beating up Coulter, we are playing the Demoncrat's game.
I agree that her statement was sophomoric and stupid. Unfortunately, while her vitriol can be bracing for true-believers like us, it is ultimately too strident to be persuasive.
