This is not the first time that Ann has said something "edgy". I think that the candidates need to distance themselves from her remarks, as does the GOP - however, this does not need to be turned into a round of self-flaggelation. This could lead to it being blown up into a much larger incident.
What is regrettable about this, having thought about it - is that Edwards was on the ropes because of having hired anti-Catholic bloggers - this just injected some life into his listless campaign.
Regards, Ivan

Well, considering he's already on the record as saying we shoudl raise taxes (a perennial loser for the libs) keeping him in might not be a bad thing.

Excellent Observation.
However, Edwards is a loser but in some ways the longer he stays in the better as he pulls votes away from Hillary.

I have never once claimed to be a "conservative" here on Free Republic...
I have no problem with Coulter's comments. In fact, I applaud them.
Political correctness is killing this country and it is time to get mean with some of these people.
We are in a war that is more than just bombs and bullets in some foreign land. It is here.
It is not going to be won by polite conversation with George Stephanopolous or Tim Russert on television because people like them are part of the problem.
