Just wanted all you Freepers who believe in the Second Amendment know that the Dems are up to their old tricks and Rep. Carolyn McCarthy has introduced the most sweeping gun control legislation in US history.

It's neither going to pass in the US Senate(thanks to the new 60-vote barrier that the RAST so gleefully installed when they were in the minority), nor will it pass the presidential veto.

You seem to have forgotten that our president once said that if the AWB ever passed his desk again, he would sign it. I know he was talking about the old AWB--but what makes you think he won't sign this one?

Second Amendment Sisters has launched a campaign to have all our members send a post card to their reps to let them know that they are opposed to this bill.

I would hope that freepers would do the same thing.

Rep McCarthy is a world class pest. If her husband and son weren't shot on the LIRR, she would be where she is better suited - terrorizing hospital staff meetings, and neighborhood get-togethers.

#1. I don't recall that the president said anything of the kind.
# 2. This AWB bill introduced by this deranged RATS woman is not the same as the old AWB.
# 3. This woman's bill is not going to overcome the inevitable 60 vote Republican filibuster in the US Senate.

Rep McCarthy is sorely misguided. NYC has some of the toughest gun control laws and they did nothing to stop Ferguson's rampage.
