It is amazing. My 87 year old mother died last year and I reviewed all the changes she saw in her life, almost unbelieveable when you know that she was born in a farmhouse in rural south Alabama in 1918 without electricity or running water. I was born in that same area 63 years ago and retired from a career in chip-making. My son has a PhD in physics and works on secret government programs.
My own circumstances are not all that different from yours. Recently, to pass the time while waiting for the phone to ring, I started a list of all the things that have disappeared from my world. Without boring you to death, I should say that, by the time the phone rang, my list was up to 60 itmes. Among them were: typewriters, traffic circles, phone booths, slide rules and record players. :)
