They interpreted it (RED SEA) as REED SEA, reeds of the marsh lands.

I don't pretend to be able to read either ancient Hebrew or Greek (or modern for that matter) but doesn't the RED/REED thing only work in English?

It was a TV show I saw a few years ago that I was referring to, they interpreted it in the Bible as REED sea instead of Red Sea, but, they are wrong.
