Not the open and shut case some folks thought it was ...
Lewis 'Scooter' Libby, former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, leaves the federal courthouse following a day of jury deliberations in his perjury trial in Washington March 1, 2007. (Jason Reed/Reuters)
I would love to be a fly on the wall of that jury room.
Sounds like they are really deadlocked.
No verdict this week.
Maybe they're getting some good perks like Paulie Shore did in "The Juror".
This is a DC jury... They LOVE having the "spotlight" on them... being so important. They're looking forward to delivering a blow against the Bush Administration. JMHO.
And how many "first-hand eye-witness accounts" in book or paid-article form will emerge from this jury published by the anxious anti-Bush MSM? I'm guessing at least 2.
You forgot me...but, I forgive you.
I hope they all rush right to their dictionaries when they get home.
Oh, I just pinged the two who always ping the Scooter lists. I'm sorry, sleuth. :(
Nope .. another nerve wracking weekend for Scooter. The way the jury is plotting all the players and testimony, dates, etc. microscopically is something. Gives me great pause that they're apparently being so literal.
Court TV says jury sent two notes to which judge will respond on Monday. The first one is the jury wants a definition of "reasonable doubt" related to count one. This is very intresting. It almost sounds like they are leaning towards a not guilty at least on count one...but you never know with a jury.
Deliberations continue on Monday.
I don't know what to think, so I am not thinking about it.
LOL..that is okay.
I haven't been able to be on them as much this week.
I was teasing you.
I'm eating rice...lol.
Oh...I didn't know it was "reasonable doubt" that they were wanting the meaning of.
Well, duh??? That seems pretty easy to me.
>>Maybe they're getting some good perks like Paulie Shore did in "The Juror".<<
That's what I was thinking. Heck, with a week+ you could collect the whole action figure set from the kids movie du-jure from your happy meals.
Doesn't sound like they are at deadlock, at least not yet. I don't think I'd like the sound of that question if I were Scooter.
seriously...the longer this takes the better for libby...
Heck of a diet, huh? Are you feeling more you? Sure hope and pray so.
Breaking news over at the Scooter thread ..you've been pinged... jury questions.
