I wish people would take the gloves off.
Lerner is defending anti-semtic premises. Rabbi or not, this is profoundly immoral.
Iran openly calls for the annihilation of Israel. Israel would be better understood in today's global politics as concerntration camp of Jews operated by the Arab word.
The Arab world is free to speak words of hate, fund acts of war, and openly fire missiles into Israeli territory WITHOUT condemnation from the international community.
Such criticism free zones have been created by rhetoric like Carter's. It is okay for the Arab world to argue openly for the destruction of Israel, to fund acts of war, and engage in military attacks aimed at Jews-- NOT ARABS. Nasrallah apologized for his missiles hitting an Arab family in Israel.
There is no lack of rhetorical clarity here. The Arab world has vocally emphasized that it will not tolerate the existence of Jews in the Middle East. Why can we not confront this?
This article makes no mention of how Sadat was assasinated for this noble cause.
Its ridiculous.

Didn't know she became a rabbi. Didn't even know she was Jewish.

Jimmy Carter is speaking the truth as he knows it.
No doubt. But the fact that his perspective is at odds with reality makes the "truth" that he believes in unfair and immoral.
