Exactly! That means that a true conservative still has the momentum for victory over the "establishment" candidates.

"Big spending isolationist"
China is financing our deficit with 100's of billions of dollars. They basically own our ass. Seems like a *bean-counter* would figure that out.

Rudy doesn't look worried to me!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Lets hope he stays NOT WORRIED. Both Rudy and John put masses of money into the straw poll, knowing its importance. Hunter did it with an all VOLUNTEER team.
Its grass roots versus money and influence. I like it when democracy prevails, don't you?

Giuliani garnered 158 votes. Hunter was a close second with 152 votes and McCain was third with 116 votes, according to county GOP officials.
***How is that a dead heat?

Um, isolationist?
A fervent supporter of the Iraq war, Hunter told the conference that he presented Defense Secretary Robert Gates with a plan to rotate American troops out of Iraq and lashed out at Democrats who favor ending the war.
Hunter bellowed, "If Democrat leadership in the United States House of Representatives wants to cut off reinforcements or cut off supplies for our troops in need on the battlefield, our troops will never forgive them and the American people will never forgive them."
Hoping to show strong resolve in the global war on terror, the Congressman, whose son is a Marine and serves in Iraq, continued, "There can be no debate about the fact that it is in our interest to expand freedom around the world."

Nothing isolationist there. If he keeps talking like that some here will start to call Hunter a "neo-con" hehe.
Excuse the 'lashing' and 'bellowing' but this was ABC News trashing Duncan.

of all the candidates (I have come to the conclusion) he is only conservative in the race for nomination. I hope there will be debates. Duncan Hunter will outshine all the rest of them.

Again, understandable...but remember that regardless of the cause, Rudy is the candidate with the established track record of dropping out of elections against Clintons. I presume you'll hold him to the same standard.

Come on, he needs us now, not later. I'm guessing from your post that you wouldn't contribute a dime to his campaign in any case. That's your prerogative. If everybody thought like you, his failure would become a 'self-fulfilling prophecy.' It would also be America's loss.
