Spitzer is a strong defender of, even, partial birth abortion. He has no conscience. This Catholic did not vote for him. I must admit that many CINOs voted for him, but not the faithful practicing ones. Of course it didn't help that the weekend before the November election, a whole slew of Catholics from NYC attended a day retreat in Washington D.C. at the Basilica, where Bishop DiMarzio of the Brooklyn/Queens Diocese didn't say ONE WORD about the election, or how sincere Catholics should be voting. He missed a great opportunity.

I assume the reason Bishop DiMrzio didn't say "ONE WORD" about the election is due to the ruling of the IRS that would take his tax exempt status away. This gives new meaning to the often quoted New Testament phrase "render to Cesar etc."
