WELLESLEY, Mass. The senior thesis of Hillary D. Rodham, Wellesley College class of 1969, has been speculated about, spun, analyzed, debated, criticized and defended. But rarely has it been read, because for the eight years of Bill Clintons presidency it was locked away.
As forbidden fruit, the writings of a 21-year-old college senior, examining the tactics of radical community organizer Saul D. Alinsky, have gained mythic status among her critics a Rosetta Stone, in the words of one, that would allow readers to decode the thinking of the former first lady and 2008 presidential candidate.
Despite the fervent interest in the thesis, few realize that it is no longer kept under lock and key. As MSNBC.com found, it is available to anyone who visits the archive room of the prestigious womens college outside Boston. With Clintons opponents in the 2008 presidential race looking for the next Swift Boat attack ad, and the senator herself trying to cast off her liberal image, Clinton's 92-page thesis is certain to be read and reread by opposition researchers and reporters visiting the campus.

I don't know.
Like I said in my post, it's valuable insofar as it gives us insight where she's coming from. But most people around the country would be quite loathe to be held accountable for what they wrote as university students & most around the country would see it as below-the-belt unfair & the tactic'd probably deliver her more sympathy than anything else.
Why do it if, as we all well know, she's got reams of socialist hooey she's professed support for this past year to nail her with? Why muddle the issue & give others the opportunity to say her opposition's having to resort to her work as a student almost half a century ago in order to condemn her?
No, they were much more benign than that. Outside of "legalize pot", I don't really remember anything I'd consider significan now.
My father was a 3 war Marine, so you can believe me when I say I was not out there marching with Hanoi Jane.
This from WND, December 18, 1997:
You've joined the great pantheon of outstanding freepers, onyx. Congratulations! (Can I have your autograph? 8))
Hmm.
Based on the appearance of Hillary's ankles, as well as the fact that she's in the Senate, I suggest a new nickname for her:
"Caligula's Horse".
The thesis became available in 2001, according to the article. It's been available all these years, but no one bothered to read it, according to the article.
LOL -- you have mail, young lady!
Sure glad I choose you for a Mentor!!!...You are the Greatest!!!...
I have the DVD.Time to review it!!!..
Hey, hey! Thank you, kind sir!!!!
MSNBC is claiming that the Thesis is 92 pages but BKO says the version she read was 75 pages. Is MSNBC going to claim that 19 pages were footnotes?
Why do I get the feeling that what is available is not the original?
I wondered the same thing about the discrepancy. See my post #134.
Thanks for the ping. The snippet they showed from the top of the thesis doesn't look like it was done in Times Roman font ... but I could be mistaken about that.
This is the time of the political season to be cleaning out one's closet.
True. I've changed quite a bit but I was a Christian back then and pretty conservative. I'm just way more conservative now. I wonder if she's really change all that much.
The worst part of college papers is not only are a lot of college kids in the "brainwash" mode but sometimes they feel compelled to write stuff just to go along with the professor for a good grade. It takes a lot of guts and chutzpah to write what one really thinks; damn the professor or what not.
Definitely. LOL right with you there.
..Great Minds....I was thinking that SOMEONE must have picked up the inconsistency. At least BKO quotes some passages from what she read. I would be curious to see if those passages exist in the copy being made available. I have a hunch that it is a re-written thesis based upon the original with the one available now not as politically damaging in content.
It raises some interesting questions but there is a chain of custody morass here. Given the recent and not so recent shenanigans of those in Hillary's thrall, If that thesis was in any way damaging to her goals, it's been cleansed like a Stalin-era photo.

Just raising these kind of doubts as to authenticity is going to be greeted in the manner of the reaction one would get questioning the JFK assassination, Roswell, The Knight Templar and the Temple mount.
Besides, it's not like anyone is ever going to test paper and ink. There will never be proof.
